I’ve had a great #NonfictionNovember so far — I’ve marveled over aspects of the human centered planet (The Anthropocene Reviewed), traced the legacy of an American icon (Vanderbilt: The Rise and Fall of an American Dynasty), and examined ableism in fairy tales and superhero stories (Disfigured: On Fairy Tales, Disability, and Making Space). I’m learning about the intersection of Indigenous identity and mental illness (A Mind Spread Out on the Ground) and exploring the role of feminism in climate activism (All We Can Save). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But the month’s not over yet! The stack pictured is only a portion of the nonfiction I own but haven’t read yet — what some bookstagrammers call a possibility pile. I’m hoping to knock out at least a few more books before the month is out! What have you been reading lately? #FallIntoNonfiction ID: a pile nonfiction books, mostly memoirs, scattered on a gray blanket via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CWa3gMQrrUI/
