Three Nights with a Scoundrel by Tessa Dare is the final book in the Stud Club trilogy. Julian and Lily have been circling each other since book one and we finally get to see their story!!! It was as angsty as I expected. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The murder of Lily’s brother, which takes place at the start of book one, is an overarching plot line of all three novels. Julian, hopelessly in love with Lily and feeling responsible for her brother’s death, has been pressuring Lily to choose a husband. She strikes a deal: she’ll reenter society, so long as he’s the one escorting her. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I can’t speak to the Deaf representation in this book, but I loved that it was there! I especially liked that Dare addressed the way in which Lily was forced to lip read for the comfort of hearing people and eventually learns to sign. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I of course loved the way that the culmination of the series and it’s mystery brought all of our characters from the whole series together! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CW: grief, loss of a loved one, ableism, homophobia, sexual content ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: A kindle displaying the ebook cover of Three Nights with a Scoundrel sits on a white shelf. I’m reaching out to touch the kindle with one hand. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CiC6UZfLK_9/
