Beauty Talk: My July Ipsy

As usual, I'm super excited to share what I got in this month's ipsy bag. ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service. It's ten bucks, and it's the best part of getting my mail every month.

The first thing I noticed was a Luxie Beauty Small Angle Eye Brush. I love getting brushes because they are something that can be used over and over again. This one is versatile because it can be used on your eyes or your eyebrows. I haven't been doing a whole lot of liner lately, but I do smudge a dark eyeshadow into the lash line if I want a little extra definition. The brush retails for $10, which automatically makes this month's ipsy bag worth the price of admission.

Next up is a brand I love to get products from: theBalm. I've received a highlight and an eyeliner from the brand in the past and have been impressed with the both the quality and the packaging. This month, I got the Meet Matt(e) Trimony eyeshadow in Matt Kumar, which is a beautiful matte cranberry color. The photo isn't doing it justice at ALL. It's a color from a recent release that I'm dying try, and if this sample is any indication, the rest of the palette will be just as lovely.
Left to right: Benefit eyeshadow, trestique highlighter, Ofra lipliner
I've never tried anything from tre'StiQue, but I'd heard of the brand through one of my favorite YouTuber's: Bailey B. She reviewed their eyeshadow and blush sticks and had great things to say about them, so even though I'm not a superfan of highlighters, I was excited to try the Mini Highlight Stick in Maldives Luminescent. I'm not crazy about the shade for my particular skin tone, but I can see it flattering a lot of people. I think I'm going to reach for this as an inner corner highlight more than anything.

The OFRA Cosmetics Lip Liner in Silk was the first product I had a chance to try. It's a nude lipliner, so it can go under whatever color you like. It comes in a wood pencil format, so it's definitely a drier formula, but I found that it wasn't uncomfortable, and it did help extend the wear of my lipstick.

Finally, the product I was most nervous about...the Cake Beauty Delectable Lemon and Cream Ultra Nourishing Hand Cream. This product lives up to it's name, with a sugary lemony scent. I have a major sensitivity to fragrance and don't typically reach for these kinds of products, but I do love anything citrus scented, so I will have to give this a shot, eventually.
Have you tried any of these products/brand? What did you think?
Do you get ipsy or another beauty subscription? Let me know. I've had my eye on the Sephora Play box...
