week 41 wrap up In the two weeks since I took this picture, the leaves have begun to turn. I love this time of year - the way you can see summer tipping into fall a few degrees at a time. This week was more up than down, with victories big and small. I had a moment of genuine silliness and connection with one of my classes, I read a magical book, I mailed my ballot, I ate frozen custard and listened to Billy Joel and even though I learned that things in my district might be shifting AGAIN and the world is still on fire and there's a part of me screaming that things will never be okay again...things are okay.
