Back when I had cable, I was obsessed with the Food Network. I don't love to cook, but I find it relaxing to watch other people do it 😂 just me? Watching cooking shows and thinking I understand chefs is like watching Grey's Anatomy and thinking I understand brain surgery. That being said, I went into this read believing the stereotype that chefs are often obsessive, egomaniacal, and brilliant. That wasn't exactly debunked by my reading of Yes, Chef by Marcus Samuelsson. Samuelsson talks about food, family, identity, career, race, tv, ambition, love and everything in between. His life is FASCINATING and I was completely engrossed by his story. This is a remarkable memoir and one that I recommend if you're a fan, foodie, or simply love the genre. I also recommend the audiobook, which he narrates himself! via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CGr-ygCgqmj/
