Fractured Sky was the perfect conclusion to the Tattered and Torn series by Catherine Cowles! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’re unfamiliar with the series, it follows a small town family years after a kidnapping that changed their lives. Each book follows a different couple and the final installment follows Shiloh, the one who was kidnapped. I’ve been so excited to get Shiloh’s story from her perspective, and it was worth the wait! It was so lovely to see Shiloh and Ramsey find a person they could be vulnerable with after everything they’ve been through. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This book in particular gave me early Heartland vibes — if you love this series and haven’t seen the show, you should — between Ramsey and Shiloh’s connection with and passion for rehabilitating horses, the struggle to trust others because of past trauma and abuse, and the ranch becoming a haven for those in need — I’m itching to rewatch the show! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This series was my first exposure to romantic suspense — how many kidnappings is too many kidnappings?
