In a Jam by Kate Canterbary has been getting a lot of love from booksta, and for good reason! Shay and Noah’s story has: ✨ he falls first (a top tier trope) ✨ marriage of convenience ✨ single dad ✨ grumpy/sunshine ✨ no third act breakup Noah has been learning to navigate raising his niece Gennie when his ex-best friend/unrequited love shows back up in the town they both swore they’d leave. Shay’s life is in shambles after being left at the altar so she jumps at the chance to start over when her grandmother leaves her the farm that’s been in her family for generations, with one major stipulation. This book feels like a hug. I love how soft it is. I love the teacher rep — I rarely read books that do it right. I love that Shay is thirty two! More heroines in their thirties, please! I loved pretty much everything about this one, tbh, and will be keeping an eye out for other books of Canterbary’s to add to my TBR.
