Joanna Shupe loves a novella, and The Scandal of Rose starts off with a bang.💥 Rose is an actress who, in spite of her determination not to become anyone’s mistress, finds herself becoming just that. What’s worse, she’s falling for him…and there’s the small matter of his engagement. Moore is a Knickerbocker, a member of a respected family, and determined to avoid scandal. That is, any more scandals. But then he starts frequenting a theatre… Age gap isn’t the trope for me, but if it’s yours you’re definitely getting it here. I did however love the grovel at the end — it is really fun and well done. Novellas just aren’t my favorite but it’s Joanna Shupe so you know I had to read it —and I was rewarded with news in her author’s note that she has another full length novel, The Gilded Heiress, coming next spring! 📸: I’m holding a kindle displaying the ebook cover of the Scandal of Rose in one hand.
