Let’s talk about books. I love shopping for books, collecting books, and reading books. I love supporting indie bookstores and Barnes & Noble. But I almost never buy full priced books. I just don’t have the money to do that when I buy books at the rate that I do (and let’s be real, I’m not gonna stop buying books anytime soon.) I appreciate aesthetic shelfies and dream of a house with built ins as much as the next girl, but I also want to remind you that you that owning books - especially brand new books - is not a prerequisite for being a reader. I LOVE MY LIBRARIES and I love my used bookstores! The stack pictured are books I picked up for 1.49 a piece at my local thrift store this past weekend - and all of them are books that I’ve had on my wishlist. So consider this a reminder to check out your thrift stores, used bookstores, and libraries. You never know what you might find, tucked among dusty mass market paperbacks and copies of Eat, Pray, Love. 🤣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: a bookstack, from top to bottom: A Gentleman in Moscow, Home, It Ends with Us, Catherine the Great. All the books have orange price stickers on their spines. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CUfHFsrroaB/
