Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams is the second book in the Bromance Book Club series, and it follows Gavin’s sister in law, Liv, and fellow book club member Mack as they navigate a first (and second, and third) impression gone wrong. I loved getting to see another side to Mack than we saw through Gavin’s eyes in book one! I also really enjoyed the ways in which the club is forced to reckon with going public. Adams skillfully navigates difficult topics of sexual abuse and harassment, and while Liv could be an incredibly frustrating character to root for (seriously) she has a great arc and ultimately comes to understand the ways in which her actions, though well intentioned, have caused harm to survivors of said abuse. Like the first book, this one swings effortlessly from laugh out loud funny to heartfelt and back again. I immediately reached for the third book in the series because I just love these characters and this world so much. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: I’m holding a kindle displaying the ebook cover of Undercover Bromance in front of a white brick fireplace.
