Ten Things I Hate About the Duke (Book 2 in the Difficult Dukes series) was my first Loretta Chase novel, but it won’t be my last. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cassandra has loved Lucius since she was a girl, but has been watching him waste his wealth, privilege, and influence in society for years. Even knowing how he treated her all those years ago, she’s written him off as an irredeemable rake. Now, in order to turn a fake dating scheme real, Lucius has to prove that he’s the kind of man you marry. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ten Things was so much fun. It’s a Taming of the Shrew/Ten Things I Hate About You inspired romance with insults, great friend and family dynamics, and an excellent groveling/redemption arc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cassandra is an activist and I love that storyline! Chase doesn’t get caught in the “I’m not like other girls” trap which I so appreciated.
