The Duke’s Perfect Wife by Jennifer Ashley is book four in the Mackenzies and McBrides series, which I will not stop talking about until all historical romance fans pick it up! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve been dying to get to Eleanor and Hart’s book, and here it is. This second chance romance follows Hart, patriarch of the Mackenzie brothers, as he schemes to win back his ex fiancée. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Eleanor is such a fun heroine and reminds me a lot of Tessa Dare’s precocious Spindle Cove characters in the best way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Every book in the series has a mystery sub plot and this one involves anonymous letters, assassins, and more! I love how family centered this series is and that there are substantive reappearances of favorite characters from previous books.
