After copying endless quotes from Upstream into my journal as I read it last year, I finally picked up my own copy, which I just finished rereading and annotating. Mary Oliver — and this collection especially — is a forever favorite, and I like the idea of returning to these essays each year and seeing which pieces resonate with me.
