I rejoined KU specifically so I could finish out the Lost and Found series. Ashes of You by Catherine Cowles follows the big bro of the fam, Lawson, who helps Hallie after she escapes a serial killer — years later, they cross paths when she unknowingly interviews to be his nanny! This one delves into Lawson’s past which has been alluded to in previous books, but also explores Hallie’s ability to move on from what happened to her as more women begin going missing. It’s got PTSD and panic attack rep, as well. These romantic suspense novels are formulaic in a way I find soothing, even though I am always anxiously trying to guess who the villain is. I was glad to see Cowles is continuing it in her new Sparrow Falls series — book one follows Anson, who features in Ashes of You!
