Mine Til Midnight by Lisa Kleypas is the first book in the Hathaways series, and as per usual with a Kleypas novel, there’s a ton of crossover between series! It’s always fun to get to revisit old characters from the Wallflowers! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Amelia “I don’t need anyone” Hathaway meets Cam “I’m not the marrying kind” Rohan while on a mission to save her wayward older brother. The two become reluctant allies turned…something more. Amelia and Cam have some swoony moments, but I think it’s worth knowing that this book is definitely the most angsty of the series (I read them out of order); it deals with a lot of heavy topics including grief and racial tension. That said, it’s been fun to find myself in the middle of a family saga where each book focuses on a different sibling! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CW: sexual content, loss of a loved one, use of a slur to refer to a Roma person, drinking/drug use, suicidal ideation ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Keep in mind that this is a book which deals heavily with Romany culture but is written by someone outside of that culture. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: A kindle displaying the ebook cover of Mine Til Midnight sits on a white shelf.
