Series Review: Gold Rush Ranch by Elsie Silver My beige flag is saying that every small town book with horses reminds me of Heartland but in this case they’re both set in Canada so I’M RIGHT! 🤣 I blew through this series in just a few days and had so much fun doing it! Off to the Races: book one follows Billie and Vaughn; she’s a chaotic, mouthy trainer, and he’s an entitled, arrogant businessman taking over his late grandfather’s ranch. These two go beyond banter and thrive off riling the other up! Tropes: workplace romance A Photo Finish: book two follows Violet Eaton of Chestnut Springs fame (I love that series). She’s a jockey, he’s her boss’ boss and a military vet. Cole is Vaughn’s brother and THE definition of a growly and uncommunicative MMC and has a lot that he has to work through! Tropes: age gap, second chance-ish, forced proximity The Front Runner: book three follows Mira and Stefan; she’s brilliant veterinarian, and he’s a misunderstood ranch owner. This one is a redemption story for the morally grey boy of the series! Tropes: my best friend’s nemesis, fake dating-ish A False Start: book four follows Stefan’s sister, Nadia, and Stefan’s best friend, Griffin! She’s trying to rebuild herself in the wake of trauma, and so is he. This one is by far the angstiest and steamiest of the series! Tropes: age gap, brother’s best friend ID: A collage of images of me holding a kindle displaying each of the book covers from the series. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CuawJ1CA4DV/
