I'm quickly working my way through Jasmine Guillory's Wedding Date series, and The Wedding Party is the third book in that series. The nice thing about these books is that while they all exist in the same world, they don't have to be read in order. The Wedding Party is my least favorite of the books I've read so far. While I always enjoy the humor, social commentary, and food that comes with this series (and did in this book as well), I found myself frustrated by the relationship between Maddie and Theo, mostly because they don't fit easily into one trope. They are a hate to love, one night stand gone awry, secret relationship? There was too much going on. This is also the most sexually explicit book of the series, which I didn't care for. I love that the relationships and conflicts in this series don't feel formulaic; they're all different, which means that not all of them are going to be my favorite, and that's okay! I'd encourage you to seek out other reviews of this book to see what other readers have to say. In the meantime, keep an eye out for my review of Party of Two, which is possibly my favorite Guillory book yet! via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CClZy0Lg6uY/
