I'm channeling @lit_just_got_real for today's #ThrowbookThursday, which is a both a throwback book and photo! I don't know why, but Sarah Dessen books always scream summer to me. In addition to being one of my favorite covers of hers, this book is is also a favorite. In it, Sydney grapples with the consequences of her charismatic and reckless older brother's actions and finds french fries and pizza and a little romance along the way. There's a big, chaotic family, which I love in YA, and I also love that Sydney is able to figure out that every family is fighting their own battles.
