If you’ve ever read a book marketed as enemies to lovers only to be disappointed, allow me to introduce you to a true enemies to lovers romance: No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean. The third book in the Rules of Scoundrels series follows club owner Temple, aka the Killer Duke. Temple is forced to reckon with everything he thought he knew after a woman from his past reappears…twelve years after he was accused of her murder. Mara and Temple’s story is super angsty and slow burny and is such a great redemption story (Bourne even offers him a lil advice, seeing as he has some experience with revenge himself). I loved getting to see the Scoundrels couples through new eyes, and of course getting Temple’s backstory! There is a reveal at the end of this book (to set up the final book in the series) that made me GASP a la Isaac in Ghosts - if you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t read the synopsis for book four! CW: sexual content, loss of a loved one ID1: I’m holding a kindle displaying the ebook cover of No Good Duke Goes Unpunished. The tops of the leaves of a snake plant peek out at the bottom. ID2: A gif of Isaac from the show Ghosts: “Oh, come on. That was gasp-worthy.” via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/Cdv0k8YLAsQ/
