Heartless by Elsie Silver is book two in the Chestnut Springs series and is a super steamy single dad/age gap romance where she’s the sunshine and he’s the grump! Elsie Silver really packed the tropes in with this one 🤣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Summer’s best friend Willa is in Chestnut Springs for the summer with nothing but time to burn, and winds up working as a nanny for Cade, who is determined to hate her, but actually just wants to jump her bones. Willa, who’s felt adrift and like she hasn’t found her place among a supportive but high achieving family finds home in an unlikely place with Cade and his son Luke. Luke is such a special kid and written so well! I loved his relationship with Willa. It didn’t feel like a means to an end for the romantic plot which I appreciated. I loved the way these three understood each other — even through the third act conflict. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While I definitely have some beef with the Easton boys (we need to talk about Rhett and Caleb!) I’m also really enjoying this series and cannot wait for Powerless, Jasper and Sloan’s book, to come out next year! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: I’m holding a kindle displaying the ebook cover of Heartless. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CmB4yeIL7BY/
