Does it make me a Scrooge to say that A Very Merry Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams isn’t for me? Perhaps. I thought that if anyone could write a Christmas romance I’d LOVE, it would be her. But alas, I liked but didn’t love Colton and Gretchen’s second chance romance. He’s a sunshine-y, Christmas loving country singer and she’s an immigration lawyer who hates the holiday and everything it represents. While I’ve enjoyed Colton in Gretchen in other Bromance Book Club reads, I felt this one was missing some of the sparkle of previous books. I did enjoy Gretchen and Colton’s dynamic, Colton’s family, and Gretchen’s realization that Colton isn’t the spoiled man child she believes him to be. I believe firmly that every book isn’t for everyone — and that’s okay! I know there are lots of Bromance fans who’ll love picking this one up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CW: abuse ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: A kindle displaying the ebook cover of A Very Merry Bromance sits on a white shelf. I’m reaching out to touch it with one hand, and you can see my holiday themed manicure and my fuzzy slippered feet in the background. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CmPXR3dLov7/
