I realized that there are more books to Tessa Dare’s backlist than I thought and a day later, stumbled on a copy of this at my bookstore: it was fate! My fave TD books is a tough list to crack but Goddess of the Hunt is definitely edging it’s way up there. When Lucy realizes that the man of her dreams (and her brother’s best friend) is about to propose to another woman, she decides to take matters into her own hands. But it’s her brother’s OTHER best friend Jeremy who intervenes — and the resulting sparks lead to an absolutely messy love triangle (“triangle plus one, whatever that is” - gold star if you get that reference) and a delightful romance. I love a historical romance that takes place during a house party, because there’s so much fun forced proximity! While I did get frustrated because Lucy is SO naive and immature, I get that it made sense for her circumstances and that she did come into her own by the end of the book. Goddess of the Hunt is TD’s first book and IMO, a great example of what Dare does best. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: I’m holding up a mass market paperback copy of Goddess of the Hunt. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CmEmwNKrHjW/
