Wallflower Gone Wild by Maya Rodale is book two in the Bad Boys and Wallflowers series, and I’m honestly glad I picked it up out of order because after reading this one, I’m not sure I would have gone on to read book three! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Olivia is dubbed London’s Least Likely to Cause a Scandal — a reputation she blows up when she becomes betrothed to Phinn, aka The Mad Baron, aka a man accused of killing his first wife. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wanted to like this book, but Olivia’s stunning naiveté, especially after reading about everything her friend Prue had been through, bothered me. Olivia and Phinn’s friends “help” push them together throughout the book: sometimes by literally shoving them, and sometimes by spiking the lemonade at a party, which left a sour taste in my mouth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There’s a third book in the series — book one — which I’m not sure I’ll pick up.
