The Honey Don’t List by Christina Lauren is like Netflix’s Set It Up meets Fixer Upper in all the best and most cringeworthy ways. Carey and James are beleaguered assistants to a Chip and Joanna Gaines-esque couple. Charged with keeping their wayward bosses in line during promo for their new show and book, Carey and James quickly realize that their bosses’ marriage is the real project in need of fixing. This forced proximity romance has important conversations about abusive work environments, chronic illness (focal dystonia), and learning to fight for what you deserve (both professionally and personally). I was equal parts delighted and stressed while reading this book - the pool scene is a particular favorite - and while I enjoyed it, it doesn’t shift my ranking of top CLo books (Roomies and Josh & Hazel are jockeying for top spot right now). I know Christina Lauren’s books can be pretty divisive - I’m curious to hear which ones you’ve loved (or not)! via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/COscxkVrLHy/
