Listen, I knew that Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn was my kind of book as soon as she used the phrase san serif person 🤣 but really though - I loved Clayborn’s sense of humor and references so much. Meg and Reid first meet when she is commissioned to create the stationery for his wedding, but Reid comes back into her life to find out the truth about the hidden message in their invitations - a code no one but Meg was ever supposed to see. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Artistic Hello-Kitty-dress-wearing Meg and analytical “Masterpiece Classic” Reid are an opposites attract romance about overcoming emotional damage and learning how to cope (avoidance isn’t a strategy? Who knew? Definitely not me 🤣) and discovering that numbers and letters aren’t so different after all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Their slow burn was so satisfying to read, especially set against the backdrop of NYC, a character in its own right as Meg shows Reid a different side to the city with its signs and history. I loved their relationship, but I also loved every secondary and tertiary character and the way the book explores not just romantic relationships but friendships and familial bonds, too. Basically, I loved every minute and need to read some more Kate Clayborn, stat! via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CO-bcuCL2b9/
