Twice in a Blue Moon is probably my least favorite Christina Lauren book, and I’m beginning to think that I just might not like the second chance romance trope! Because of the synopsis, I thought that the book would focus on the second half of Sam and Tate’s relationship, so I was surprised to find that much of the book was about their initial teenage relationship. It felt a little like I was reading two different books - YA and adult, but neither really grabbed my attention and I struggled to stay hooked. 14 years after Sam betrays Tate, the two find themselves working together and grappling with the realization that they still have feelings for each other. I don’t want to say too much, so I’ll just say that I was hoping for more of a redemption arc than what ultimately played out. While this book didn’t work for me, I’m sure it will work for someone!
