Dating You/Hating You by Christina Lauren is a workplace romance about Carter and Evie, two talent agents at competing LA firms who have to learn to work together when their companies merge. If this sounds familiar, that’s because it’s pretty much the plot of The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, which I also read recently. I had to make sure I hadn’t mixed up my notes when I went to write this review 🤣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If we’re comparing them, Dating You/Hating You doesn’t hold a candle to The Hating Game for me - but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it! Carter and Evie have chemistry and while there was way too much LA talk (it felt like someone trying to convince me they were from LA), I appreciated the conversations about the ongoing struggles women face in the workplace. I also loved that there was no need for an epilogue (epilogues bug me like 90% of the time). That’s pretty much all I’ve got - I’ve realized as I work through CLo’s backlist that their books are hit and miss for a lot of people and while I wouldn’t classify this one as a miss, it also isn’t my favorite of the books I’ve read. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CPBCkGRLM5k/
